Sizdeh Bedar Venue Announced for Southern California Event
February 27, 2019
(Moorpark, Ca) The California Multicultural Society has announced its venue for the 2019 Persian New Year / Sizdeh Bedar event which will now take place at Arroyo Vista Community Park in Moorpark, California on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
For the last 18 years, the formal event was organized by Conejo Recreation & Park District (CRPD) and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office at the Conejo Creek North location in Thousand Oaks, California. With the support of CRPD, the Sheriff’s office, The City of Moorpark, and Arroyo Vista Recreation Center, the event, which is now organized by the California Multicultural Society, has been moved to a new location that can accommodate the larger crowds that have been building over the years.
In 2017, the event reached over 10,000 people and over 2,500 vehicles parked in the designated parking areas. Capacity for Conejo Creek North Park is estimated at under 8,000 people with a maximum capacity of 2,500 parked vehicles onsite. With the event now at Arroyo Vista Community Park, the event organizer has made a long term commitment with the city for this venue.
The new venue, Arroyo Vista Community Park, can accommodate over 20,000 people and offers more than 1,000 parking spots with an additional 2,500 parking spots for patrons attending the Persian New Year / Sizdeh Bedar event with cooperation from Southern California Edison.
This year’s event will include 2 live musical performances as well as a popular DJ. The reveal of the musical performers will be announced on February 18, 2019.
Tickets will be available for purchase online on March, 1, 2019.
